About Us

Our Story

Legado started in 2023 when Ciara and Noelle connected over Mexican food and decided to make planning for the end easier and less taboo. With Ciara’s experience in the legal field creating estate plans (about 2,000) and Noelle’s experience in tech and marketing, they were a perfect match and Legado was born.

Driven to prevent others from experiencing the added heartache of losing someone without a plan, Legado is on a mission to educate people on why estate planning is so important while also making it more accessible and inclusive.

Our Mission

Legado empowers anyone to confidently create their financial and estate plans to protect their legacy.

Why the Parrot?

There are a few reasons we chose a parrot, and specifically a Lorikeet, to represent Legado.

Lorikeets are unique in that male and female birds look alike. This reflects our approach to estate planning, as we've removed all gendered language from our estate plans to be inclusive of all families and relationships.

Lorikeets are known for their vibrant colors, representing our focus on celebrating legacies, rather than dwelling on the end of life.

Parrots have long lifespans, and many people create trusts for their pet parrots.
